HOW TO REACH SAGREMA FOUNDATION IN MFANGANO ISLAND KENYA

After Landing in Jomo Kenyatta international airport (NAIROBI), our visitors/volunteers/travellers, can use recommended transport, or any of these options:
1. Take another plane to Kisumu international airport if they had booked prior, then either take a bus, Nisan or Probox from Kisumu bus stop to Mbita through the shorter route of Lwanda Kotieno (Route/directions) or through the longer route of Homa-bay (Route/directions via Homa Bay).
2. To those who are interested we do organize private Car through a transportion company in Kisumu, to bring them direct from kisumu airport to Mbita point which is so easy, faster and direct, to be picked by the Host to Mfangano by either Mfangano water bus, Mfangano ferry or Mfangano Engine boats all landing at Sena Centre in Mfangano Island.
OR
3. book any of these buses direct from Nairobi to Mbita then to Mfangano through Water bus or Ferry (Route/directions) and choose either to travel night time or day time depending on their arrival time in Kenya. - (Easy coach, Ena coach, Transline, Classic or The Guardian) all stoping at their office doors in Mbita, then be picked by the Host to Mfangano by either Mfangano water bus, Mfangano ferry or Mfangano Engine boats all landing at Sena Centre in Mfangano Island.

4. Book another air plane from Wilson airport in Nairobi Kenya to Homa-bay air strip (Kabunde) then take either a bus, Nisan or Probox from Homa-bay town to Mbita town (Route) to be picked by the Host for onward movement to Mfangano by either Mfangano water bus, Mfangano ferry or Mfangano Engine boats all landing at Sena Centre in Mfangano Island.
THE TRAVELING GUIDE SUMMARY TO THOSE WHO WOULD LIKE TO REACH MFANGANO THE SAME DAY
1. Book a morning flight to Nairobi. (The fight should land in Nairobi at dawn)
2. Book a connecting flight from Nairobi to Kisumu International Airport, departing Nairobi between 9:00am and 10:00am, arriving at or before noon.
3. Upon departing Nairobi, inform us of your departure time and flight details for airport pickup arrangements.
4. We'll arrange a private vehicle to take you from Kisumu to Mbita upon landing, with a driver waiting at the airport.
5. Upon arrival in Mbita, we'll arrange transportation via water bus, ferry, or engine boat to Mfangano Island, then a motorbike to Wakinga Community Health Centre. (That is where we live)
6. This means you'll land in Nairobi in the morning, fly to Kisumu, travel to Mbita, then to Mfangano Island, all on the same day.
7. We provide guidance and ensure a safe arrival for our visitors and volunteers. Communication will be through WhatsApp, so ensure your phone is fully charged and has data.
